John Janero’s school in Daly City, California

My school is located in Daly City, California, just south of San Francisco in Fitness West Sports Club. The facility is 20,000 square feet with over 1,000 square feet of mat space. The facility also includes a weight room, a cardio theater, showers, men and women’s sauna and Jacuzzi, a swimming pool, massage, and a variety of other classes that compliment Jiu-Jitsu very well such as yoga, boxing, stabilization training, and circuit training.
We offer 10-12 Jiu-Jitsu classes a week in both the morning and the evening, weekdays and weekends. We hold 3-4 belt tests and seminars a year. We try to stay active and compete in up to 4 tournaments a year. As of September 2004, our women’s program is at 15 and still growing. In October, 2004, the children’s program will make its debut. I look forward to watching the art of Jiu-Jitsu continue to grow by bringing the children into our program.
